How long ago did they write this?
Can I just say how cool it was that both of these superheroines’ personalities and powers were explored in this episode? And how well it was done?
Starfire was not shamed for being emotional. Her powers come from her emotions.
Raven was not shamed for suppressing her emotions. Her power requires amazing control.
They both. Work. They are both different kinds of strength, and they are both heroic and powerful and good. And they each learned from the other, and helped each other out by seeing from each others’ perspective, and finding the value in their differing approaches! Wow!
Fuck yes, this is how you write super-ladies, okay. There’s more than one way to be a “strong female character.” There’s all different kinds of strength. Why don’t more people GET this?
HEADCANNON: there’s a rule in DC comics saying whenever you have a book featuring Nightwing, his ass must have a cameo apparence.
A friend convinced/enabled me to try and app a mostly depowered M’gann to a Pokémon game. I’ve started drawing some Poké-YJ fan art as a result.
That’s the only justification I’m giving this stuff.
YOU’RE WELCOME.
Hey DC, remember that one time Jason had a Friend?
Scans from Jason and Eddie’s pen pal story are beneath the cut
lets-stop-the-killings-of-robins:
ok we’re all hating on bruce because he is being a dick to jason after he opened up to him and started to get closer but for a person like bruce he’s been the best parent any of them could have (except for dick, and probably tim) ANYWAYS…. what im trying to say is, we should try to understand a little bit, Damian has been the only REAL son he’s ever had, and lets not forget when jason died he went through the same shit he is going now only that now jason is here to see it and bruce is too damn stubborn to open up to anyone.
so yes Bruce is acting like a dick to Jason but i don’t blame him he is still on grief and and lost looking for his dead child.
Except Alfred claims that Jason is just as much Bruce’s son as Damian. The implication that Jason isn’t REALLY his son because of their lack of blood relation is incredibly problematic and disrespectful.
